‘From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.’ – Warner Bros. Pictures

You might notice the song playing over the trailer is Pippen (Billy Boyd) singing his song from The Return of the King

‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ is coming this year on December 17.

Trailer for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ starring Tom Hardy

“Mad Max: Fury Road” is the fourth film of George Miller’s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.” – CBMTrailers

The visuals to this film look amazing and it’s nice to see that the creator of the series, George Milller, returned to write and direct rather than passing the film off to be rebooted by someone else.

‘Max Max: Fury Road’ open May 15, 2015 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX.

Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah will appear in Godzilla 2

Legendary Pictures announced that Godzilla will be battling not one, but three classic monsters in the sequel to ‘Godzilla’.  Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah have officially been added to the roster.  As much as I despised ‘Godzilla’ (my review linked here) this news makes me very hopeful for the franchise.  I thought the MUTOs from ‘Godzilla’ were uninspired and would have much preferred a modern take on a classic monster.  To get three in one movie is more than I could have hoped for.

Leaked ‘Batman v Superman’ Image (Comic Con)

Footage shows Batman, with eyes lit up in his Batsuit, turning on the Bat signal (new design for the logo). Bass is pounding, rain pouring, darkness. The Bat signal shines in the sky, and suddenly Superman appears in the middle of the light. His eyes begin glowing red, staring down at Batman. Batman stares back. EPIC! That’s all. – Empire

I cannot wait to see Batman go toe to toe with the Man of Steel.  Just this glimpse of the ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ style Bat-Armour has completely sold it for me.

Trailer for “The Death of ‘Superman Lives'”

“The Full Trailer for the feature length documentary “The Death of Superman Lives; What Happened?” featuring interviews with Tim Burton, Kevin Smith, and many more.” – Scheppzone

I’m really excited for this documentary.  There was an astounding amount of work that was put into this movie because it was completely abandoned.  Just to see Tim Burton’s take on the whole ordeal is reason enough to check out this movie, but there is also so much more to explore.  The concept art, the test footage, the costume design, and of course Kevin Smith’s comical take on how it all came together and eventually fell apart.

First Trailer for Kevin Smith’s ‘Tusk’

Kevin Smith revealed the first trailer for his next film titled ‘Tusk’ about a podcaster that finds himself interviewing an eccentric world traveler who essentially wants to turn him into a walrus (human centipede style).  This will be the first installment of Kevin Smith’s ‘True North Trilogy’ a series of films all set in Canada.  The second film being ‘Yoga Hosers’ and the culminating in ‘Moose Jaws’ which is apparently exactly as it sounds “Jaws, with a moose”

‘Firefly Online’ Gameplay Trailer

‘Firefly Online (FFO) is an online strategic roleplaying game set in the universe of Joss Whedon’s cult classic TV show – Firefly.
Players take on the role of a ship captain as they hire a crew and lead missions, while trading with and competing against millions of other players like themselves. Much like the crew of Serenity, the Firefly-class transport ship featured in the original show, players must do whatever it takes to survive in the Verse: find a crew, find a job and keep flying.
Currently in development for PC, Mac, iOS and Android. For more info or to register go to http://www.keepflying.com.’ – FireflyOnlineGame

Despite being cancelled in it’s first season the show Firefly has still managed to collect a massive fanbase (with myself included).  They were able to will a movie and a documentary into existence, so why not a video game?

i09 reports that all of the original Firefly stars will reprise their roles in the game.

Red Hood announced as DLC for ‘Arkham Knight’

Capture27

The Red Hood (Jason Todd) will playable as a pre-order bonus for the next ‘Arkham’ game along with the previously announced Harley Quinn DLC.  The character really made an impression on people (especially after the incredible animated movie ‘Batman: Under the Red Hood’).  It’ll be interesting to see what Rocksteady does with him.  I already like the new design.
